Local 124 skateshop held a skateboard contest in the parking lot outside of the store on May 11th.

The event went off with some of the best of Edmonton skateboarding the lot. Things kicked off with a high jump sponsored by Vulcan Bolts and Snot Wheels. The bar kept going higher and higher until some of the little guys rode under instead!

Then it turned into a curb session. With 3 slappy curbs lined up in a row, you could hit one after another. The curb session was sponsored by a Film Trucks and Heroin Skateboards.

Then it got serious. We started to session the barrier. Prizes and judging of the best tricks came from the one and only Barrier Kult.

After that we cleaned our palette with a good old fashioned barrel jump. Barrel jumping was brought to the lot by Blood Wizard skateboards and Bent Stick brewing. The master brewer even got into the mix by laying down as skaters leapt from board to board over him.

The we got into a Blast Skates wall jam. It was a best trick contest on the quarter pipe and wall ride. Top prize was taken by a kick flip from the quarter pipe to the wall!
